Top 10 Reasons to Become CFRE-Certified:
Increases Credibility
Improves Career Opportunities
Prepares for Greater Responsibility
Develops Skills and Knowledge
Yields Greater Earning Potential
Demonstrates Commitment
Enhances Professional Image
Reflects Achievement
Enriches Self-Esteem
Fosters Peer Recognition

The certification process involves an in-depth application and exam. Please go to
www.cfre.org to learn more about the overall process and to begin completing the online application.

The exam that is part of the CFRE process is based on current fundraising competencies for individuals with
at least five years professional fundraising experience. These competencies have been identified through a job analysis process that is done every five to seven years by CFRE International. The survey that is sent to individuals holding certification and other professional fundraisers collects details about the skills, tasks, critical levels of understanding and applications needed to be a successful fundraiser.

As an NEAHP member, one of your benefits is the opportunity to participate in a CFRE study group. For additional information about CFRE, please contact Linda Dodge, CFRE, Director of Development for
Marlborough Hospital at 508-486-5807 or email her at dodgel@ummhc.org.
