The Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP) is an international professional organization dedicated exclusively to developing the men and women who encourage charity in North America's health-care systems.  Established in 1967, AHP is the source for education, networking, information, and research opportunities in health-care philanthropy.  AHP is a not-for-profit organization of 4,500 members with its international headquarters located outside Washington, D.C. in Falls Church, Virginia.

Although NEAHP and AHP are separate organizations with separate membership fees, NEAHP represents the New England Region within AHP.  NEAHP members are urged to also join AHP to benefit from its extensive range of services.

Successful health care development professional know the difference between simply networking and making meaningful connections.  Positive relationships with donors, organizations and colleagues are crucial in today’s competitive environment.  The AHP Foundation’s latest initiative is focused directly on making such connections easy and productive.  AHP eCommunities will be an online interactive forum that will allow health care development professionals to network, share best practices and keep in touch with one another.  Some of the eCommunities being considered include: planned giving, annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, fundamentals, and small shops.
