Shands HealthCare is one of the most prominent and well-respected academic health systems in the entire Southeast US, and is affiliated with the University of Florida and its Health Science Center campuses in Gainesville and Jacksonville. Senior Director of Major Gifts
Shands is seeking a highly motivated development professional to assist the Chief Development Officer in building and managing a comprehensive major gifts program for Shands Children’s Hospital, Cancer Hospital and other Shands HealthCare initiatives. The director will focus on developing relationships with physicians, researchers, nurses, grateful patients and community leaders to create a high capacity prospect base and a growing sustainable major gifts program.

The Shands development program is relatively new and promises great opportunities to excel. The ideal candidates will bring five (DoD) to ten+ (SDMG) years of development experience and a demonstrated history of successful major gift leadership in an academic medical center.  Nominations and expressions of interest may be sent confidentially to:
