Brain Science Foundation
Director of Development
Wellesley, MA
www.brainsciencefoundation.org

The Brain Science Foundation (BSF) is a nonprofit, supporting organization dedicated to finding a cure for meningioma and other primary brain tumors and to advancing the understanding of brain function as it relates to these tumors.  The Foundation supports basic and clinical research, promising new treatments, and opportunities to improve the quality of patient care.  In partnership with The Department of Neurosurgery at both the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Boston, the BSF facilitates ground-breaking progress on a number of fronts.

The BSF has a strategic advantage rooted in the depth of experience and entrepreneurial spirit embodied in its boards.  Reporting to the Board Chair, and working closely with the Development Committee, the Director of Development is responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive development program.  S/he will be charged with broadening support for the annual fund, creating and implementing a gala event, and cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individual and corporate major gifts.  This is a special opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to have a significant impact on people’s lives and to assist in a cutting edge approach to finding a cure for meningioma and other primary brain tumors.
