Vice President for Development

In this role, you will lead and manage all aspects of the philanthropic efforts and other corporate duties of the Winchester Hospital Foundation, while providing charitable support through annual contributions and pledges, as well as through securing future commitments to ensure long-term financial viability. Position involves conducting all efforts in alignment with the mission and values of the organization as well as in compliance with hospital policies. Other responsibilities include working closely with the board of directors, developing educational programs for giving, preparing proposals and directing all fundraising activities, including annual funds, planned giving, major gifts, donor recognition and other programs. You will also be expected to direct the business aspects of the Foundation, manage the annual budget and work with the accounting department on preparation of financial statements and management of day-to-day transactions. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing or other business related field, along with 10 years’ fundraising experience in the nonprofit healthcare sector. Certification as a Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and/or membership in the Association of Health Care Philanthropy (AHP) is preferred.
