Philanthropy Officer for Communication Services

Job Summary:
In this new position of Philanthropy Officer, Communication Services, the incumbent will be responsible for designing and implementing a strategic and integrated marketing communications plan for the Hospital’s Philanthropy Department. The Philanthropy Officer oversees media relations, market research, strategic message development including the use of printed, electronic, and video communications materials. Serves as a resource and liaison to media as well as extensive internal and external constituents. Works collaboratively with internal departments and senior management to ensure that Philanthropy's communications are coordinated with Hospital wide communication strategies.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, marketing, communications or related discipline required; Master's preferred. At least 5-7 years experience in marketing communications or public relations, preferably in the health care industry. Demonstrated abilities in the development and implementation of strategic and integrated marketing communication plans. Must possess excellent writing, editorial, organizational, and market research skills. Must have familiarity with online and interactive media, print production processes, and evaluative methods. Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability when communicating with individuals and groups.
