DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY
Outer Cape Health Services, Inc. is the leading
federally-qualified not-for-profit community health center organization
serving the eight outermost towns on Cape Cod.
Our mission is to provide a full range of primary health care and
supportive social services that promote health and well-being by
providing high quality, cost-effective, culturally appropriate,
accessible and affordable primary health care services.
We have a full-time, year-round opportunity for a director of
philanthropy.
Reporting to the CEO,
s/he will
be expected to establish a diversified fundraising
program including the organization and management of all solicitation to
substantially increase support from foundations, corporations,
government agencies, businesses, grateful patients and the larger
community.
S/he will direct the annual campaign including direct membership
marketing, donor acquisition and renewal, membership giving clubs and
corresponding premiums, signature special events, patient/member events,
and other cultivation opportunities.
In preparation for a multi-million dollar capital campaign, s/he will be
responsible for collaborating with outside counsel and coordinating with
board and staff in executing the campaign to achieve goals, including
the application of a moves management strategy to a portfolio of major
gift donors and prospects for the identification, research, cultivation,
solicitation and stewardship of gifts from individuals, corporate and
foundation contributors, patients and philanthropic organizations and
all other sources.
The ideal candidate must be relentless in the pursuit of major gifts,
have success in securing 6 and 7 figure major and planned gifts, and in
meeting fundraising goals. Demonstrated track record in leveraging gifts
and grants in a health care environment preferred. Must be competent
using technology to support fundraising efforts. Must be passionate
about the mission and be highly skilled at making “the ask.”
Masters Degree in related field preferred, with 10 years experience in
corporate, foundation, major gifts, planned gifts, and annual giving
program planning and solicitation.
Budget management experience and capital
campaign experience required. A commitment to working in a non-profit
health care environment essential.
Demonstrated
experience in health care philanthropy, and CFRE, preferred.
