Finger Lakes Health Foundation
Executive Director
Finger Lakes Health Foundation, part of the Finger Lakes Health System
headquartered in Geneva, NY, is seeking an Executive Director to lead
its fundraising programs on behalf of Geneva General Hospital, Soldiers
& Sailors Memorial Hospital, Living Center North and South, Huntington
Living Center and other affiliated clinics and centers.
The Executive Director will oversee all aspects of the Foundation,
reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer of
Finger Lakes
Health, and serving as a member of the administrative team.
The successful candidate will exhibit a high degree of
leadership, creativity, and vision, possess superior interpersonal
skills and a passionate commitment to the organization’s mission.
The ideal candidate is
motivated by what can be accomplished in a community-hospital setting,
has a track record of working with volunteer leadership, preferably in a
capital campaign, is comfortable and enthusiastic in representing the
hospital to the community, has a minimum of six-years of
demonstrated success in building a comprehensive philanthropy program,
preferably in a healthcare setting.
Bachelor’s degree required, Certified Fundraising Executive
(CFRE) preferred.
ABOUT FINGER LAKES HEALTH: Finger Lakes Health is a community owned,
not-for-profit system that provides a full range of acute and long term
care services to the residents of the Finger Lakes region. Services are
provided on three campuses, in Geneva (Ontario
County), Waterloo
(Ontario
County) and Penn Yan (Yates
County).
The 650-bed health system is governed by a common Board of
Directors, comprised of community volunteers, and served by a common
management team. With 79 active staff physicians, FLH facilities offer a broad array of primary,
specialty and sub-specialty services to our community.
The Cornerstone of Care Campaign
was launched in 2007 at
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial
Hospital with a goal of
securing $1.5 million in philanthropic support. With renovation and
expansion of the hospital underway, the campaign is now in the
“Leadership Phase” and is expected to be completed by the end of 2009.
