Auxiliary to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital

Receives The 2018 NEAHP Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award

NEAHP’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award, was presented to the Auxiliary to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, Inc. (NRVH) on Monday, March 5 during the 2018 Annual NEAHP Education Conference. The Auxiliary was honored for its extraordinary impact on NVRH’s ability to provide equipment and medical care to the residents of rural, northeast Vermont all with the goal of improving the experience of the patients, employees, and visitors. It was recognized for the impact it has had in the community beyond the hospital.

In her nomination of the Auxiliary, Brynn Evans, NVRH’s Director of Development and Marketing, noted many of their achievements. From new equipment and renovations, to efforts impacting employee giving and enhancing the ability of the Development Team to acquire new prospective donors, to providing scholarships for high school students and adults who are interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.  All of this takes place as Brynn said, “in one of the most rural areas of the state, with high rates of poverty and minimal economic opportunity.”

Selection of the NVRH Auxiliary also marks the first time in its 40-year history that the Distinguished Service to Philanthropy Award has been given to a group or organization.
